Domiciliary (home) care

This service allows you to live in your own home and receive the personalised care that you need to live life to the fullest. With complete respect for your privacy and dignity, we understand how to help you, or your loved one, handle everyday needs in a manner that leaves you feeling confident.

Your domiciliary carer can help with all aspects of personal care, including bathing, daily grooming, dressing and dental care.

As well as support with home-based personal care and daily living tasks, we can assist with errands, managing personal finances, and accompanying people so they can participate in work, or for leisure, social or health purposes.

What is domiciliary care?

Domiciliary care, also known as home care, home help or assisted living, refers to a range of services designed to support someone to remain living in their own home.

Having a domiciliary carer, also known as a home carer or private carer, can help you to retain your independence, whilst having regular support for the things you find more difficult.

In addition to the above, domiciliary carers can also assist you with:

  • Toileting and continence management
  • Managing challenging behaviour
  • Managing medications or complex care
  • Safety in the home
  • Mobility and the use of aids and equipment
  • Preparing and eating meals
  • Domestic chores and errands
  • Socialising and hobbies

Bradford clients can also take advantage of our night roaming service. These are night care services where our domiciliary carers go in to assist with medication, repositioning, night time checks, or any other necessary care tasks after hours.

All our care is personalised to you and your needs. Reliance Community Care’s approach to person-centred planning is that the individual is at the centre of their own plan, and is in control of what it contains.

You can choose from a huge range of individualised care tasks, according to your own care needs and preferences.

We make sure that clients and domiciliary carers are fully involved in the development of person-centred plans and that these are updated regularly to reflect any changes in your condition(s) or budget.
